There are some unusual things that men find attractive in women. When we say unusual, these are characteristics that are not supposed to attract males as typically pictured by the general society. However, most men, particularly now, have changed their perception about men-women hierarchy and relationships.

1. Contradictions. A flirtatious woman on the outset but an actual innocent kitten or an ice cold princess in public but a dynamite in the privacy of the bedroom. Men love variation, and most of them would rather be surprised when it comes to girls than be proven right.

2. Women who can fix cars and/or are good with computers. Technology and machinery are supposed to be the exclusive domains of men, but if one or two women venture into these realms, most men would find it intriguing and interesting. Half of the male population actually finds it sexy when a woman knows how to start a dying engine.

3. Cute tattoos. Although tattoos are very popular nowadays, most men are turned off by women who are covered with them. But this doesn’t mean that they don’t like women with a tattoo. The thing is, they like it if there’s just one (maximum of two) situated on the right spot, like the base of the spine, the ankle, the upper side of a breast or on the underside of the hip, just above a butt cheek.

4. Women who can take control when the situation calls for it. For men, it’s sometimes tiring to be the hero of the household all the time, particularly in a marriage. Most of them would not admit to it, but they like a woman who can be a partner and can share the load of taking care of the family.

There are guilty pleasures, or maybe we should call it “dark secrets,” that practically all men have that they would never admit to their girlfriends or wives. But don’t worry guys, we all have them; nothing to be ashamed of since they’re part of being a man. However, we do list some of them here so you can check them against your own list.

1. Gossiping. They will deride women who gossip, but when men are with their buddies, they talk about the same things that women talk about. The difference is, not one of them will admit that they ever did.

2. Fantasizing about their girl’s girlfriends/sister/mother. It’s something natural and something that girls shouldn’t worry about. Besides, girls would never know since men would never admit to it. But every time a girl introduces a sister or a female friend to her boyfriend, chances are, he would fantasize about her at least once.

3. Voyeurism. At one time or another (most likely during their teenage years), men have spied on their female neighbors, likely with binoculars. The fact that they could get caught anytime adds to the high of the experience.

4. Measure themselves. Admitting it would mean they are not secure about their size, so they wouldn’t admit doing it. But men do measure themselves and half would likely try some of the exercises and products listed in the Internet that are supposedly effective in giving them a bigger package.

Women love romance. Sometimes, a guy’s chances on a girl have more to do with how he woos her than who he is or how he looks. Ever wonder why some not-so-hot men are able to land the most beautiful girls? Here are some tips on how you can duplicate their success.

1. Be romantic. Girls love candlelit dinners, long-stemmed roses and sweet text messages. These might seem old tactics, but they work all the time. Make sure that you don’t let a day pass by without letting her know that you’re thinking of her.

2. Surprise her from time to time. Show up in her doorstep early in the morning or visit her at her workplace without letting her know that you’ll be arriving. Taking her by surprise will help her be aware of you more.

3. Know what she likes. Quiz her friends about her favorite food, what she likes doing and what things she likes receiving. In short, exert some effort to know something about her that she has not told you.

4. Get her friends on your side. If you can get her friends on your side, you’re at an advantage. Most girls like talking about guys with their friends and these friends have a lot of influence on her choices. If you’re on her friends’ good side, they will help you get to first base.

There are certain activities that men prefer to do alone. They might enjoy the company of girlfriends or wives or their male friends, but there are things they would rather do on their own. Here are some of these activities.

1. Shopping. Most men don’t really like shopping, but when there is a need to suffer this activity; most of them prefer to do it alone. They don’t really like hearing input on how they should dress most of the time. They would rather trust the recommendations of shop attendants than hear their women giving out opinions on how they should dress.

2. Going to the doctor. Men don’t really like being perceived as sickly or weak; so if they felt that there’s something wrong with them, they would rather know it first before anyone else does (aside from the doctor, that is), particularly if the condition is something that is potentially embarrassing.

3. Getting groomed. Some men do exert effort when it comes to their looks. If they want to get their nails buffed or they want to have a skin care session, they would usually not tell anyone but would go alone. Despite the desire to look good, they still find some of these activities a bit effeminate, so they would rather that people don’t know that they do undergo such pampering.

Women all around the world have always wondered what it is with men and sports. Why do men prefer watching a group of padded guys rather than sit and cuddle with their women? Well, it’s not that they prefer to do it; it’s just that they’re programmed to do it! Or are they?

The love affair between men and sports has something to do with both their physical makeup and social influences. Men’s brains are hardwired to react favorably to competitions and physical activities. A fight, be it in a battlefield or the football field, can get their blood pumping and their hormones raging.

Society also has something to say to this inclination. In the early times, men have been raised to fight wars and defend their countries. In modern times, they are raised to get a place in the football team, with a sports scholarship being the most desired way to get to college.

Women should not worry though; there is nothing wrong with this behavior. As a matter of fact, more women now are becoming enamored with sports. They start watching it because they have crushes on some of the athletes, then they end up liking the actual sport itself.

It’s only for a couple of hours a few nights a week. For you girls, the best thing to do is to let your men enjoy their “male time.” Don’t worry; majority of his weekly attention is with you anyway, he just needs a few hours a week for LeBron James and Peyton Manning.
